Last week, 16 of our youth returned from a powerful week at Camp Blue Haven in Las Vegas, NM. The setting was perfect for our teens to spend a week encountering Jesus Christ together. Our long van rides and our night together at the cabin provided the perfect opportunity for our teens to meld together as one group. They quickly carried this spirit of unity into their week of camp and all of them made several new friends.

Camp Blue Haven is a wondrous place for our teens to grow closer to God. Personally, it is the place where I committed my life to serving Christ, met my future wife, and most recently happened to meet Rusty which began us on the path to Alameda!

Our teens came back on fire for the Lord.  What made me most proud of our group was that they all memorized 5 long passages of scripture!  Teens can do some incredible things when we challenge them!  Will you join me in praying for them in the coming weeks and months? Pray that they will hold fast to the commitments they have made. Pray that they will continue to feel God's presence as strongly in their lives as they did in the mountains.
