Outflow Stories

At Alameda, our people have been busy serving and making a difference in our church family and the community.  Do you know what we've been up to?  Check it out:

  • On October 4th, Alameda (Team Evans) had the largest non-profit team at the Race for the Cure with over 100 participants joining together to raise money and awareness for a cure.
  • A group of women from our church have decorated and furnished two apartments for Bridges, a local non-profit agency that helps high school students who are living on their own for reasons outside of their control.
  • At least 5 of our members have committed to becoming career mentors for students at Bridges.
  • A Life Group prepared several care packages and sent them to military personnel.
  • A Life Group sends cards every week to those who are sick, shut-in, or asking for prayers.
  • A Life Group hosted a "Love (Agape) Feast" for members of our congregation who needed some love.
  • The Sooners for Christ spent an evening at Children's Hospital serving and playing with kids.
  • The Sooners for Christ had their first annual Alumni Reunion.  Over 80 people from several different generations came and spent time in fellowship and remembering how important this ministry was to them.
  • Alameda's annual Fall Festival was a great success with more visitors than we've ever seen at this event.
